Reed Hastings, Netflix co-founder. The company launched streaming alongside its DVD-by-mail business in January 2007 with 1,000 titles. Netflix, already a DVD-by-mail business since 1997, launches its streaming service in January 2007 with 1,000 titles. By 2010 streaming surpasses DVD shipments. By 2013 Netflix produces its first original series, House of Cards. The cable-TV bundle starts to unravel.
