Trade agreements with Yugoslavia and Greece; Italian naval demonstration

In June 1934 Albania signed trade agreements with Yugoslavia and Greece, seeking alternatives to Italian dependence. Italy suspended all payments to Tirana and sent warships in an attempt at intimidation. The demonstration failed when the Albanians permitted only unarmed parties to land.
