The science of persuasion

An animated summary of Robert Cialdini's six principles of influence - reciprocity, scarcity, authority, consistency, liking and consensus. It matters to a history of propaganda because state campaigns pull the same levers as advertising: obligation, the fear of missing out, the borrowed credibility of an expert, and the sense that everyone else already agrees. The video also promotes the authors' own assessment product, which is a small demonstration of its own subject.
