Andrew Finch killed by Wichita police after hoax call

Andrew Finch, 28, a father of two with no connection to online gaming, was shot dead by a Wichita police officer on the porch of his home. Tyler Barriss had telephoned a false report that he had shot his father and was holding the rest of the family hostage at that address. The address was stale, supplied during a dispute between two Call of Duty players over a $1.50 wager. This was a homicide arising from a deliberate scheme, not a prank that went wrong.
