The $1.50 wager behind the Wichita call

Casey Viner, 18, of Ohio and Shane Gaskill, 19, of Kansas argued over a $1.50 wager after a friendly-fire incident in an online Call of Duty match. Viner threatened to have Gaskill swatted and contacted Tyler Barriss, 25, known in gaming circles for making hoax calls. Gaskill, aware of the threat, gave an address where he no longer lived. Prosecutors described the chain as a deliberate conspiracy.
