German Hospital letter about an interned enemy alien

Correspondence from the German General Benevolent Society's hospital to the Commissioner of Immigration at the Angel Island station, concerning Ernst Hamann. Hamann was a German national who reached the United States days after President Wilson's proclamation on enemy aliens in April 1917 and was interned on the island in San Francisco Bay.
