Lawrence Ferlinghetti and poet Jack Hirschman speak at Berkeley for the California Countercultures series about the Beat Generation in North Beach. Ferlinghetti co-founded City Lights and published Howl; Hirschman organised the San Francisco International Poetry Festival. Two participants describing the neighbourhood scene from inside it.
