Navy hospital corpsmen drill with closed litters on Angel Island

A Hospital Corps company at the Naval Training Station on Angel Island practises stretcher work, the litters closed and draped as prescribed. The photograph was taken by Mrs. C. R. Miller and held in the National Archives series of unofficial World War One photographs. Angel Island served as a military station in San Francisco Bay through the war years.
