USIA analyses Soviet propaganda (1958)
1958
A United States Information Agency film recorded at the Pentagon, in which the agency's director uses charts and clips to break down Soviet propaganda for American military leaders. It is doubly interesting: an analysis of one state's messaging that is itself an artefact of the other state's information agency, made to justify the American effort. Watching a propaganda body teach propaganda literacy is the clearest illustration of the Cold War information contest.
