American posters and the entry into the war

A short survey of the poster campaign that followed the United States' declaration of war in April 1917. The posters had to manufacture enthusiasm quickly in a country that had spent years staying out, so they leaned on personification, direct address and shame at inaction rather than on any argument about war aims. Compressed but soundly sourced television history.
