On 1 April 1992 Moskovskaya Pravda announced plans for a second Moscow subway system 'in the interests of competition', published in a fake edition dated March 32nd. The joke landed in the first months after the Soviet collapse, satirising the sudden arrival of market competition as an explanation for everything.
