As Father Anthony Joseph, Skaggs pedalled a portable confessional booth mounted on a tricycle to the Democratic National Convention at Madison Square Garden, offering 'religion on the move for people on the go'. News crews covering the convention filmed and interviewed him as a genuine curiosity. It remains one of his most photographed interventions.
