Five family members in the reconstructed mausoleum

The rebuilt Tirana mausoleum holds Zog (1895-1961), Queen Géraldine (1915-2002), his mother Sadije (1876-1934), his son Leka I (1939-2011) and Leka's wife Susan (1941-2004). Three generations of the family are buried in a replica of a building the communist state demolished. The mausoleum is the dynasty's only permanent monument in Albania.
