Leka II marries Elia Zaharia

Leka II married the actress Elia Zaharia on 8 October 2016 at the royal palace in Tirana, on what would have been Zog's 121st birthday. The civil ceremony was blessed by five religious leaders representing Albania's faiths. The couple divorced in April 2024.
