Repatriation and reburial in Tirana

Zog's remains were reburied in Tirana on 17 November 2012, in a replica of the mausoleum inaugurated the same day, exactly 68 years after communist forces destroyed the original. Around 3,000 Albanians attended. The date fell within the centenary commemorations of the 1912 declaration of independence.
