Italy invades Albania

Italian forces under General Alfredo Guzzoni landed on 7 April 1939, attacking all Albanian ports simultaneously with two battleships, six cruisers, nine destroyers and fourteen torpedo boats. Officially 22,000 troops took part. By 1.30pm every Albanian port was in Italian hands.
