Frashëri government renews the Italian financial relationship

In 1936 Mehdi Frashëri's government secured Italian commitments to honour earlier financial promises and to provide new loans, including funds to improve the harbour at Durrës. Relations with Rome improved markedly. The reconciliation restored Italian leverage over the Albanian state.
