ILWU Local 10 marks Bloody Thursday on the Embarcadero
2018
The 2018 Bloody Thursday memorial, at which ILWU Local 10 honours Howard Sperry and Nick Bordoise, the longshoreman and the cook shot dead by police on 5 July 1934. Every West Coast port has stopped work on that date since. The ceremony is the strike's living annual observance rather than footage of the event itself.
