Waymo robotaxi burns on a Chinatown street

On the Saturday night of Lunar New Year weekend a crowd surrounded a driverless Waymo Jaguar I-Pace on Jackson Street in Chinatown, smashed its windows and threw a firework inside, and the car burned out completely. No one was aboard and no injuries were reported. It was described at the time as the most destructive attack on a driverless vehicle in the United States.
