Drivers and Teamsters rally against robotaxis at City Hall

Professional drivers and Teamsters members rallied outside City Hall before a Board of Supervisors committee meeting on autonomous vehicles, arguing that robotaxis and workplace automation threaten their livelihoods and public safety. The rally followed Waymo's expansion onto Bay Area freeways in November 2025, which turned the service from a city-centre novelty into regional infrastructure.
