Giannini enters the California Hall of Fame

The California Museum's induction film for Amadeo Peter Giannini, presented at the ceremony of 14 December 2010 with an introduction by John Doerr. Giannini founded the Bank of Italy in a converted North Beach saloon on 17 October 1904 to serve immigrant depositors other banks turned away, and the bank was renamed Bank of America in 1930. He died on 3 June 1949 leaving an estate of $489,278.
