London Breed concedes the mayoralty to Daniel Lurie

Two days after the election, incumbent mayor London Breed conceded to Daniel Lurie, who had won the final round of ranked-choice counting by more than 34,000 votes. Breed had led the city since 2018; her defeat by a first-time candidate marked the pivot point of San Francisco's post-pandemic politics.
