Aprilsnar - Danish tradition

The Danish national encyclopedia states that 'at narre april' has been known in Denmark since the 1600s, arriving from Germany. Originally the aprilsnar was the person tricked into 'running April', sent on pointless errands, given useless gifts, or told fabricated stories. A recurring annual custom; the year given is the start of the attested century, not a precise date.
