Invisible Filter Challenge and the WASP malware campaign

TikTok's invisible body filter matches a subject's silhouette to the background, making them appear to vanish, and surged in popularity in November 2022. Some creators used it to film while nude, prompting interest in whether the effect could be reversed. Attackers exploited this by advertising fake 'unfiltering' software that instead installed the WASP infostealer, harvesting passwords and cryptocurrency wallets. It is a rare case of a benign visual trend becoming a malware distribution vector.
