Australian editor Hugh Atkin released 'BarackRoll' in August 2008, a mashup splicing Barack Obama campaign speech clips into a word-by-word performance of 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. It became one of the most-watched political remixes of the election cycle and established the sentence-mining rickroll format later reused by the Oregon legislature.
