Photographer Maurizio Milesi joined us on board last season to document our work. From the experience, he developed his independent project Arctic Plastic to show the reality of plastic pollution in some of the most remote areas in the world. But Arctic Plastic is not only a story about plastic. It is also a story about the people who choose to collect it- our volunteers. This project is an invitation to look closely at a place that is suffering- and at the people who choose to care for it, one gesture at a time. The project has been endorsed by the UN Ocean Decade, presented at the 2026 UArctic congress, and showcased as an exhibit
