Sometimes when you are out on these remote islands that are just UNBELIEVABLY polluted, the heart does get a bit heavy. Sometimes it does feel pretty Sisyphean - you just know that the next big storm is gonna bring tons and tons of ocean plastic again. The haunting endless circularity of it all. BUT you also know that this little crew of volunteers won’t give up. And that every rope you pick up might save a wee birds’ life.
