Leka proclaimed king at the Hotel Bristol, Paris

On his father's death on 9 April 1961 Leka was proclaimed king by an Albanian National Assembly-in-exile at the Hotel Bristol in Paris. He was 22. The proclamation had no effect inside Albania, then under Enver Hoxha.
