The full club mix of the gospel-house record that gave the music its social conscience: "the world is cold and times are bad", sung straight over a Marshall Jefferson production. It became an anthem in the New York and New Jersey rooms, the Garage, Zanzibar, where the vocal lineage of house lived. This is the extended 12-inch, the version DJs actually played.
