Boom Shaka's debut single, produced out of the Kalawa camp by DJ Christos with Don Laka writing, the record that established kwaito's vocal side. It is house music decelerated to a swagger, and it arrived as apartheid ended, which is exactly why the archive files it here rather than under hip-hop.
