UNESCO Inscribes Aldabra as a World Heritage Site

Aldabra was listed under natural criteria (vii), (ix) and (x) as an outstanding raised coral atoll and a natural laboratory for evolutionary and ecological processes, covering 35,000 hectares. It was one of the earliest natural sites inscribed anywhere in Africa, and the designation the campaign of the 2020s keeps holding up.
