Prince Wilhelm and Princess Sophie arrive in Albania

Wilhelm of Wied and his wife Sophie of Schoenburg-Waldenburg step ashore at Durres on 7 March 1914 to take up the throne offered by the Great Powers. Their reign lasted barely six months.
