The largest segment here, because the sport is not American and the English-language search surface hides that. India, where Monotosh Roy took a NABBA Mr Universe title in the Group III amateur class in 1951 and Manohar Aich in the professional short class in 1952, and where Roy went on to found the Indian Bodybuilding Federation. Egypt, Iran, Kuwait, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Russia, Senegal and the Philippines. Much of this segment came from federations posting their own national championships, which no keyword search in English would ever surface.

1950 - Shaban Jafari. Jafari was an Iranian zurkhaneh figure whose later political role made him one of the most contested names in the tradition. The archive records the strength-culture standing, not a verdict on the politics.

1990 - Чемпионат СССР по бодибилдингу 1990 г. , г. Таллинн, Эстония (1 часть). The 1990 USSR Bodybuilding Championship in Tallinn, Estonia, first part. Held in the last full year of the Soviet Union, in a republic that would be independent within two years.

1999 - Northern Japan Bodybuilding Championships. Japan's JBBF is one of the few national federations reported to enforce drug testing in practice. The IFBB Pro League still does not routinely test and the NPC does not require it.

2001 - Ali Tabrizi. An Iranian bodybuilder. Iran carries both the zurkhaneh tradition and a modern competitive scene, giving it the longest continuous strength culture of any country in this archive.
2002 - El Shahat Mabrouk 2002 🇪🇬 بطل العالم المصري كمال الاجسام شحات مبروك. El Shahat Mabrouk competing in 2002. Mabrouk was an Egyptian world amateur champion of the generation before Big Ramy, and the continuity between them is the argument against treating Egypt's rise as sudden.

2005 - Weights in a shack, Aliwal North. Barbells in a township shack in South Africa. Reg Park settled in Johannesburg and built the South African scene there, though the country's bodybuilding history is far larger than that one figure.
2008 - Bodybuilding; Winner +100 kg, Hamouda Ahmed, Egypt. Hamouda Ahmed of Egypt winning the over 100kg class at an international amateur contest in 2008.
2008 - Murali Vijayakumar. An Indian bodybuilder. India's modern federations descend from the Indian Bodybuilding Federation, founded in 1958 by Monotosh Roy, who had himself taken a NABBA Mr Universe title in the Group III amateur class in 1951.

2012 - Hong Kong Bodybuilding Championships. Hong Kong's national championships. The territory would host the only edition of the Arnold Classic Asia four years later, in 2016.
