Brumby, near Long Plain Road, NSW
2018
A wild horse spotted near Long Plain Road, near the Snowy Mountains Highway, NSW, in summer. These are (at the time of writing) protected under NSW State legislation, an unpopular law amongst environmentalists due to the damage they cause in Kosciusko. Brumby numbers in the Australian Alps are contested between park agencies and heritage advocates.
