Przewalski Wild Horse

North Wales. Colwyn Bay Mountain Zoo. In the beginning there was the Przewalski Wild Horse and from this came the modern horse as we know it. The Przewalski is extinct in the wild being preserved only by zoo programmes. As an experiment, three have been put. Photographed in captivity, part of the breeding network that supplied the Mongolian reintroductions.
