The Love Parade ran on the Kurfuerstendamm until 1996, then moved to Strasse des 17. Juni in the Grosser Tiergarten, centred on the Siegessaeule. Attendance peaked from 1997 to 2000 at over a million annually, then declined as funding failed, and it was cancelled in 2004 and 2005.
