AcidLab Miami (TB-303 clone), Dinosauriertreffen 2 - 066
2012
Released in 1981, the TB-303 is a monophonic bass synthesiser with a built-in step sequencer, designed to simulate a bass guitar for a guitarist practising alone. It failed at that and was discontinued in 1984. The resonant squelch produced by misusing its cutoff and resonance controls became acid, a lineage that runs primarily through Chicago acid house and reaches techno by way of acid techno.
