A history of gabber through Mokum Records. Fred Berkhout created Mokum in Amsterdam in 1993 as a joke response to Paul Elstak's Rotterdam Records, and "Mokum" is the Yiddish name for Amsterdam. The Rotterdam and Amsterdam rivalry is a real structuring feature of the scene.
