Radio, not clubs, was the distribution mechanism in both founding cities. In Detroit the Electrifying Mojo played the future Belleville Three's mixes on air by 1981, inside a Black radio format that carried Kraftwerk alongside P-Funk. In West Berlin, UFO's locations were announced on a weekly dance music radio show.
