Solomon Islands Diving, Gizo - Toa Maru WWII wreck and Grand Central Station
2024
Wreck and reef dive in the Solomons. First dive is at the Toa Maru Japanese wreck, sitting just of the shore of Kalaluka island. The wreck lies in 37m of water and rises to 7m, making it suitable for snorkelling. This wreck was a cargo ship that was torpedoed and sunk by the Americans. The ship is full of history with many artefacts still.
