Downtown mall announces its final week of trading

A broadcast report from the week the San Francisco Centre confirmed it would shut for good. The Market Street mall opened in 1988 and was expanded in 2006; it lost its Nordstrom anchor in 2023, was handed to lenders after its owners stopped paying the mortgage, was renamed the Emporium Centre in 2024, and lost Bloomingdale's in 2025.
