A wartime travelogue tours the working waterfront

A black-and-white Columbia Pictures theatrical short released in 1941, surveying San Francisco from Fisherman's Wharf outward. It films the port and the city in the last months before the shipyards took over the Bay, when the Navy was acquiring the Hunters Point drydocks from Bethlehem Steel and construction was beginning on Richmond Yard No. 1. Preserved and posted by an orphan-film archive.
