Sir Stirling Moss on the mighty 300SLR and his Mille Miglia record | Festival of Speed 2013. Sir Stirling Moss was reunited with his legendary Mercedes 300 SLR at FOS 2013. Stirling recounts the joy of piloting this car with Denis Jenkinson at the Mille Miglia in 1955. With course notes on the so-called 'loo roll', they monstered the 1,600km run at an average speed of 98.98mph.
