Nothing is more satisfying than seeing the result of a hard day’s work 🙌 Today some locals joined our long term volunteers and we had some extra hands to clean this small bay at Åsvær, Nordland. Luckily it gets harder and harder to find hotspots like this, as most of the Norwegian coastline is cleaned by a great volunteer effort the past 4-5 years. Still, we expect that we have to keep cleaning beaches for many years to come, as long as plastic continues to end up in our oceans, and because plastic pollution from decades is floating around, just waiting to get stuck on a beach nearby.
