Albanian Declaration of Independence

Albania declared independence from the Ottoman Empire at Vlorë on 28 November 1912, under Ismail Qemali. Zogu, then a teenage chieftain of Mat, took part in the independence movement. Wikipedia records his participation in the declaration period without specifying his role at Vlorë. Accounts that place the 17-year-old Zogu among the signatories at Vlorë are not supported; he is described as a participant in the independence movement, which is a much weaker claim.
