St. Runius, Marown, Isle of Man

St Runius church at Marown, 12th century in origin and altered in 1754. The Manx Bible of 1775 effectively fixed the modern written orthography of the language, a Celtic tongue whose standard spelling was set by Anglican bishops using English conventions.
