The houses on th South side of Hutchinson Square, formerly a World War II internment camp

The south side of Hutchinson Square, Douglas, the site of Hutchinson Internment Camp in the Second World War. Kurt Schwitters was held here from July 1940 to November 1941 and made over 200 works in sixteen months, including more portraits than in any other period of his career.
