Ultra Naté, the Baltimore vocalist whose 1997 anthem "Free" is one of house's permanent records, singing a new one thirty years on with French producer HUGEL. It is a clean measure of how the vocal house lineage still works commercially in the 2020s: a founding-era voice on a contemporary festival production.
