A Short History of the TB-303 in Twelve Records
DEC 03 2024
A history of the Roland TB-303 told through the records that defined its use, with the actual patterns played back on the machine. Roland built it as a bass accompaniment for guitarists and discontinued it as a failure in 1984; Chicago producers found it secondhand and made acid out of it. The playback of real patterns is what earns this a place over a talking-head explainer.
