Byron Stingily's falsetto over a Marshall Jefferson production, remixed by Steve Silk Hurley and released on Atlantic in 1989. Made in Chicago but written straight out of the New York vocal and gospel lineage the Paradise Garage built, it is the record that proved house could carry a real singer without losing the floor.
